Should I Tell My Boyfriend I Was Sexually Assaulted In The Past?

 

I was sexually assaulted a few months ago by a friend of mine. I’ve only told a few people in my life because it’s a hard thing to discuss. Should I tell the guy I’ve been dating or will I scare him off? I’m afraid of him treating me differently.
